OUR GUIDE TO A STRESS-FREE SPA DAY

Updated: Aug 29, 2019

There’s nothing like a spa appointment to rid yourself of the stress and worries building up since the start of the week but if you can’t bring yourself to any of your local spas and would much rather spend the day at the very comfort of your home—worry not! We’re giving you the ultimate guide for your spa day at home.

Set up the mood

Whether it’d be lighting scented candles, listening to a relaxing playlist on Spotify or even just putting on some comfy clothes—setting up your body for a relaxing day ahead will help you immensely. So plan ahead and make sure all your spa favorites are in stock in order for your spa day to go smoothly.

Heighten your sense of smell

It’s time for some aromatherapy. Light scented candles, incense, and diffusers have been proven to have physiological and psychological benefits. So relax even further by drowning your senses with rich and relaxing aromas.

De-stress with a good soak

Show your tub some love by using it the next time you’re on your spa day. A good soak in the tub can promote better blood circulation, relax tense muscles, and better sleep so indulge yourself with a few minutes on the tub with some good music and glass of wine. Make use of bath salts, essential oils, and the ever-popular bath bombs for an elevated spa day experience.

Up your body care game

Be a little extra on your spa day by adding a few steps to your usual skin and body care routine. Whether it’s putting on a face mask, doing an entire body scrub or even giving yourself a manicure; it’s all in the name of giving your body some much-needed TLC at the end of a long work week.

Detox with tea

Rid yourself of toxins on your rest day. Not only does detoxing help relax you it’s also the secret to good digestion and clear skin. Whip up a cup of some good detox tea and feel refreshed as you face the days ahead.
